Although a person can teach the course and still be a student is because the "Course" is a life lesson of learning to create miracles through learning to see and perceive the world in a better way. Experiences change when our perceptions change it is that simple. Miracles are a natural every day occurrence and when they do not happen it means that something has gone wrong. The Course says our judgments cause our suffering whether it is about our self, others or the world, our ego's judgments will cause our suffering to occur. God being Love would never create a world such as this. What is real about this world is "LOVE and Joy" because there is no opposite to Love and Joy. The illusion is that there is hate and sadness, but those are blocks made by the ego to block out the awareness of Love's presence which is all encompassing. That which is all encompassing can have no opposite. The "Course" seeks to remove the blocks to the awareness to Love's presence.
